GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ERASMUS PROGRAM IN TPS
Tallinn Pedagogical College considers the Erasmus program to be the cornerstone of our international relations in coming years. Our strategy is to redefine the present unconstant international collaboration to the structured Erasmus cooperation and after that start to develop the international network.
Our objectives for the Erasmus 2007-2013 are as follows:
1. To increase the amount of the students who have the possibility for the study mobility. The present level (2006/2007) – 2 outcoming students per year (0,4 % of the all students), 0 incoming students per year. The expected level (2013/2014) – 40 outcoming students per year (10% of the all students taking into account the decrease of the students numbers due to birth downturn), 20 incoming students per year.
2. To develop the support programs and subjects taught in foreign languages for the incoming students. The present level (2006/2007) – no specific support programs developed, no subjects taught in foreign languages. The expected level (2013/2014) – year-round support system granted to the incoming students by student council, specific study module developed and taught in foreign languages, mentor system developed for the teachers having incoming students in their lectures.
3. To facilitate the teacher mobility. The present level (2006/2007) – 2 teachers incoming and outcoming per year. The expected level (2013/2014) – 10 teachers incoming and outcoming per year.
Our priority is the student and teacher mobility to develop participants’ ability to act in multicultural contexts and the continuously improve the organisation’s academic and nonformal environment.
